Hull Lexus Automotive Photoshoot
After seeing my images on Instagram, Lexus Hull wanted me to showcase their new Lexus RZ 450e.
The Objective
The aim was simple, create stunning visuals that showcase the vehicle and the lifestyle that comes when owning an RZ 450e. I also wanted to craft a visual narrative that would resonate with their target audience, highlighting the vehicle's design, and eco-consciousness by shooting in green locations.
The Approach
I meticulously planned every aspect of the photoshoot, from selecting ideal locations to creating a shot list that would showcase the RZ 450e's features and aesthetics. I spent a lot of time browsing Google Earth to find great spots for the shoot. One full notepad later I was ready to go.
Beverley
On Victoria Rd in Beverley, there's a carwash that boasts fascinating lighting, giving off a distinct ‘Cyberpunk’ vibe. I found this location ideal because the vibrant LED lights inside the carwash perfectly symbolise the electrifying essence of the fully electric RZ 450e.
Peak District
With this being my first gig as such, I wanted to go somewhere special. The Peak District seemed perfect, full of trees and greenery it really gave off the eco vibe that I wanted. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t really cooperate, dull, grey, foggy skies were overhead. That moody atmosphere made its way into my images, so I went along with it, enhancing fog in the editing process. Ultimately there are a lot of things you can and can’t control (the weather) with photography and that’s the way it goes.
Paull
In the locations above I really only focused on static shots. However, in Paull my aim was to get some rolling shots. I think they turned out pretty well, what do you think?
South Cave
South Cave was the final location of the shoot, there is an off road path I spotted some time ago and since the RZ 450e is an SUV, I thought I best showcase its off roading capabilities by parking it on a wheat field with rolling hills behind. I really like some of the images I got here as the bronze colour of the car really popped.
Results
The photoshoot for Lexus Hull's RZ 450e proved to be a success. The images captured by myself are some that I can really be proud of.
